We are here to enable small firms and self employed people easy access to secretarial and administrative support. The existing client base ranges from university research, medical consultants, small businesses who wish to either out-source specific aspects of work or develop an on-going professional relationship.

We are also able to help larger firms cover for absences, expected or unexpected, and to deal with peaks in their workloads. We can help, on a regular or ad hoc basis, with your business administration.

AKF Services specialises in the provision of Audio Transcription services for qualitative in-depth interviews and focus groups, although a range of word processing services can be offered covering the preparation of business reports and documents, data input for mail shot implementation and general correspondence.

No work is considered too large or too small to undertake and all instructions received are treated in the strictest confidence.

• Word processing, including letters, reports, minutes, CVs etc;
• Transcription of audio dictation; Sound files for transcription can be sent to us via email.
• Copy typing; letters, reports, etc. We prefer copy typing to be scanned and emailed to us, but are
  happy for work to be posted to us. Work can be dropped off and collected by prior agreement.
• Invoicing and credit control;
• Data entry, including for mailshots. Entry of data into spreadsheets or databases;
  Setting up documents for mailshots and then merging, printing and posting them;
• Invoicing clients and making follow up calls to ensure prompt payment.

Pricing

Audio Transcription

• General audio transcription - £8.00 per 1000 words to £11.00 per 1000 words
• 2 person interviews – basic rate of £1.20 per minute recorded
• Focus Groups – 3-5 people £1.50 per minute recorded, 6-15 people £2.00 per recorded minute

Factors which influence the audio transcription charge made reflect the band into which clients may fall (academic researchers, corporate, or specialist), the degree of urgency attached to the turnaround required and how large or small the transcription project may be. Please enquire for appropriate quotations.

Copy Typing

• Copy Typing text is charged at £8.00 per 1000 words.

Graphics

• Graphics such as tables, graphs and charts are charged on a time basis at £10.00 per hour.

VAT is not applicable

All work is delivered by Email. However, where printed material is required, a charge is made to cover Black and White Pages at £0.25 per page, or Colour Applied Pages at £0.50 per page.

The current price list is for all standard work undertaken and does not include P&P or other disbursements.

Terms may also be negotiated for projects on an individual basis.
